When did you join Highgate?

I joined Highgate in Year 3, over a decade ago.

How would you describe the Highgate school community?

I think of the Highgate community as a very diverse mix of people from all over, with a range of backgrounds. One particularly notable quality is the ease at which people can feel at home and comfortable here.

What A Levels are you taking and why do you like these subjects?

I take Maths, Economics, Geography and History. I love these subjects due to the cross-over between them, with Geography resembling a less technical Economics lesson, History representing a case study in each of these subjects, and Maths being the important tool that bind them all together.

What do you like about being at a co-educational school?

I’m so thankful that I was sent to a co-ed school, the mix of boys and girls not only prepares you for life socially but provides a far more interesting friendship dynamic throughout the year group.

Do you go to any co-curricular clubs or societies and why do you enjoy them?

I’m one of the Head Pupils here, so a lot of my time is spent in meetings, discussing issues and events within the school. When I’m free I aim to attend Geography or Masaryk society. The range of topics discussed is always an eventful way to spend a lunchtime and are often intriguing subjects beyond the syllabus.

What do you like doing outside of Sixth Form life?

Football is one of my biggest passions and I captain the 2nd XI football team. I also play for African and Caribbean Excellence which is a cricket academy for young Black players. Being at Highgate, I’ve had chance to explore all sorts of sports, from badminton to water polo but settled on football and cricket. The sports department here is excellent and they give you every opportunity to excel.

Do you have any personal ambitions you’d like to achieve here?

Previously I would have said becoming Head Pupil, but now I've done that I’m focused on getting into Oxford and having a great season with my 2nd XI.

What’s your best kept secret about Highgate?

The Jerk Chicken in the school canteen is phenomenal!
